Who Am I? (Part Deux)

03.07.2021

I know I just posted last night. That's okay. I was thinking more on this topic so I had to put together another post.

Some of you may alreeady know that this will be my 30th move in 21 years. If you didn't know that, well, this will be my 30th move in 21 years.

I know you're probably wondering: WHAT THE...???

So, basically, I've had a very busy young-adult-to-adult life, as me and my partner are both very entrepreneurial. We moved where the business took us. Well, save for 5 of those moves that took me back home to Ontario for a couple years.

We've lived SO many places.

Provinces and States we've inhabited

(In no real order, see, it's an unordered list.)

Anyway, in 2019, one of our retail chains grew fairly well, and we had decided to move to the big city. (We lived in a small city at the time.) When we moved, I told my partner: I really don't want to have to move again, so I'm going to fill up this house to discourage you from getting that urge.

Don't get me wrong, even then I'd have burned my house down along with all my possessions if it meant a chance for me to live back in the country. I'm a country girl, bred, and buttered.

Well, since 2019, I'd left my minimalist ways behind. Moving at LEAST once a year means you really need to figure out what you actually need and what you don't actually need. But as I filled up my life with the things that I'd decided I wanted, I forgot about the need to be a minimalist.

Also, it wasn't until 2019 that I discovered I really have a love for creating artwork.

So, the majority of what I have now has been procured over a year and a half. Which is, let's be honest, kind of crazy.

But I think that's part of the problem. With everything that's gone on in my life over the past two years, I did kind of go a bit crazy and let myself indulge too far into needless things.

Anyway, if you can't tell already, I'm really excited to move.
